CORRECTION: After posting, I just noticed the Stage 2 kit is for all 4 rotors.
The StopTech Stage 2 kit is $750, $400 more than the STS1 kit. The difference being the rotors. Obviously, the S2 kit comes with them. I can't see paying another $400 for rotors. Are the StopTech rotors that good??
Would it be better to buy DBA rotors for around $300 and pads for $90 (Mintex Red)? I had stainless steel lines in my Jetta and M3 and didn't really notice a difference over stock. Although the lines are cheap enough for $60 (front set).
Or should I buy the StopTech Stage 1 and buy DBA rotors, which would still save me $100?
Any info will be appreciated!

so you're getting (4) altogether. IIRC, the DBA rotors are only for the front. Even though the price went up on the Stoptechs, it still seems to be a good price for what you get.
On a side note, I still haven't convinced the wifey to let me buy a brake upgrade. Looks like I gotta wait for my Stoptech 332mm BBK upgrade for a few more months at least. =(

I chose DBAs for the front because they are better than OEM - better venting, less likely to warp, etc. The StopTech Stg II rotors are OEM quality with slots - IMO, slightly better than stock, but not significantly so.
That said, I did put the StopTech OEMs on the back.
Hope this helps.

it comes with front and rear slotted and vented discs... stainless steel lines for front and back.. axxis ultimate pads for front and back... motul 600 high temp brake fluid... for that price... it's really hard to beat. Give Josh or Ben @ Achtuning a shout and they can help you out.
