Recently the brake wear warning came on on the dash. I knew it was a false warning and my pads were fine.
I took the wheels out to see what's wrong and saw that the front passenger side brake wear sensor wire was snapped off.
Is there a way to get rid of the annoying brake wear warning or do i just have to live with it?
Thanks.

so, no room for splicing and crimping.
I was just wondering, don't brake pad supplier make pads without the wear sensor too? Doesn't that mean the warning would be come on forever?
Is there any ways to turn this warning off? Vag-com?

Is there any dummy plugs that will tell the wear sensor connector that the brake pad is not worn? What if i short the connector leads?

One, you can use wire from an older break pad (what I did) cut the wire with the connector in tact and you are done.
2nd, if you do not have any older pads, call the local Audi dealer and talk to the service guy, ask for an older used pad.

Follow the procedure below, but you have to follow your instrument cluster wiring diagram. There is also a procedure on how to troubleshoot it linked on that proceure.

http://www.audipages.com/Tech_Articles/susp_whls_brake_steer/brakesensorshort.html</a

you re-instate it with the next set of new pads you have not damaged the cars' wiring.
