Bumper Saga...continues...
<center><img src="http://pictureposter.audiworld.com/37492/movies_012.jpg"></center><p>Ok, here we go again..
For those who have been following my couple of weeks from hell..I went back to the bodyshop on wednesday(the day my 2002 rear bumper was supposed to arrive). The bodyshop tells me that Leith Audi in Cary,NC messed up, had a computer glitch and the order never got to AudiUSA. I did call the dealer, and comfirmed with parts manager that there actually was a problem.
So AUDIUSA sent my 2002 bumper over night to the local dealer, the bumper got to the bodyshop yesterday...I was releived..went to the shop and guess what..the parts guys unloaded the wrong bumper again off the truck..Keep in mind that 3 1999 bumpers in one week instead of 2002....I am starting to feel someone upthere doesnt want me to have a 2002 bumper...Anyways..the 2002 bumper was finally overnighted again today and I went to the shop and confirmed...
The BAD news...The car was supposed to be ready wednesday according to the initial estmate...I have paid for 7 nights in a resort in Hilton Head...Now I can either go on my vacation in the classy Grand Prix from the rental car company but have to cover the rental charges from the day the car would be ready until my return day...
2nd option is that I cancel my vacation..not an option.
The insurance company or the bodyshop wont cover the rental charges because "I" wanted the 2002 bumper and if it wasnt for "IT" the car would have been ready on wednesday...
So I am just going to suck it up..and try to enjoy my vacation...
I will let you know who the bodyshop is once my car is done..even though its AUDI dealers fault for the most part..the bodyshop could have finished my car today...but chose to finish other big project cars..most of which I cant prove..but I know a lot of cars being worked on today weren't even in the shop when I dropped my car..So in a way the bodyshop screwed me over too...
I will keep you posted..unless you guys have had enough of this...

Good call. It's nice to just get a bucket of shrimp and a beer there.
It is outdoors right on south beach marina and there will be plenty of very young children.
Let's see, what else. 5 month olds are tough man, tons of stuff targeted at 2 year olds and up.
Check out Harbor Town in Sea Pines. Get there early (it fills up quick) and eat at the "Crazy Crab". There are many young children their so a crying baby won't kill anyone : ) Also, you can always take a step outside and admire the boats, ocean, etc. while the kid quiets down. Harbor Town has a lot of little quaint shops that are cool to check out, art galleries, etc.
There are a lot of nice beaches, I tend to go to the one behind the Holiday Inn off of coligny circle. Although it can tend to be a little crowded.
Man you really threw me a curveball with the kid, I've never had to plan around that ; ) The island as I see it is for Tennis, Golf, watersports, and drinking/dining.
Here are my picks for best restaurants on the island (that come to mind right now):
1. Charlie L'Etoile Verte (French, romantic, espensive)
2. Stripes (American, unbelievable portions, incredible food. Famous for their meatloaf. Pricey, but not crazy)
3. Nenos (best Italian on the island, fairly pricey)
Good for kids/family etc:
1. Crazy Crab (fun, reasonable, noisey)
2. Old Oyster Factory (perhaps the best view on the island, reasonable)
3. Fuddruckers (national chain, but still one of the meanest burgers I've ever had)
Is there anything particular you guys were hoping to do? Let me know, becuase I really do know the island : )
Where are you staying? That might determine some activities.

No problem - enjoy the trip. There are bike paths all over the entire island, so
you guys could always sight see that way also. I'm sure they have ones with baby seats etc. But then again you can drive it also. It is very easy to get around on the island. I'm sure you will have plenty to do.
