to not answer, as NSX gave you a perfectly good answer by telling you to check out the model guide - C5 came here in '97, with manual transmission available on all engines, I believe.

and audi never offered a 4.2 for america with a stick - an AOA decision that was in part responsible for my return to the guys from munich in the search for a V8 MT~6 "summer car". i do LOVE my A6Q avant (a 2.8 paperweight), and please don't sense any "anti-audi sentiment" for there is none, BUT for the record (AOA) i would be VERY interested in a 6~speed V8 A6. in any case - i was always completely satisfied, and sometimes even entranced by my '01 2.7t MT~6, and i suspect that you'd be very happy with one of your own. also - please keep in mind that i'm pulling this from my sometimes imperfect memory rather than from the model guide, which IS your friend. my opinion... look for an '01+ 2.7t with the PSK (sport) package ideally, and good luck in the search. r.
