OK so about 2 weeks ago while giving my wifes car a good cleaning I noticed the passenger floor was damp. I figured it was a cowl drain.....STFA and followed some nice write ups. The battery came out......so did the tray and sure enough there was a bunch of crap right on top of the drain. Cleaned it all out like it came off the showroom floor.
Well it rained all day today and guess what? Passenger floor is crazy wet, just waiting for the trans computer to sh*t the bed now.
So my question is:
1. Any ideas what the hell else could be causing this? The windshield has never been replaced and seems fine.
2. Any how-to's on removing the carpet so I can dry that area out and save the electronics?
TIA

and see if the filter is wet - if that plastic windshield surround is not installed properly it can channel water into the cabin air intake.

on the inside edge of the door sill, and you'll be able to pull up the carpet and see what's going on in there.
I had a similar experience a while ago, and couldn't figure out where the water came from, but it was bone dry under the carpet (lots of closed cell padding) and hasn't happened since.
Koz.
