Default camshaft seals

Ok so I bought my 2003 A6 3.0 about 2 months ago, and I love it. Problem is, on Saturday a mechanic at my wife's work discovered and oil leak. He said he thinks it's the camshaft seals on both sides but can't confirm that because he doesn't have the special audi tools.

Anyways, I'm pretty mechanically inclined and am purchasing the Bentley DVD repair manual, so I can do this my self. I was told by the previous owner that the timing belt was done about 20000km ago but I don't know if they just did the belt or if it included the water pump and pulleys etc...

This is the list of item I thought to buy to be one the safe side. Feel free to tell me if I'm missing anything, or if I really don't need a certain item.

Timing Belt (ContiTech)
Timing Belt Rollers (idler, relay)
Timing Belt Tensioner lever
Timing Belt Tensioner Dampner
G12 coolant x2
Camshaft seals w/ o-ring x4
Crankshaft Seal
Thermostat Assembly w/ o-ring
Water pump w/ metal impeller w/ gasket
Serpentine Belt (it's glazed)
Serpentine Belt Tensioner
Valve cover Gaskets x2

I'm also trying to figure out all of the tools I'll need. Kind of difficult to figure out when I don't have the repair manual yet. So far I've got:

T40030 Camshaft adjuster tool
T40028 Cam adjuster socket
T40026 Crank locking pins
T40011 Tensioner pins
3387 Pin wrench
3369 Support tool
V.A.G 1331 Torque Wrench
V.A.G 1331/1 Ratchet

I have 1 more questing regarding scaning tools but I wait till after. Thanks

Default Consider a kit and rental tools

Several vendors supply complete (or almost complete) kits and rent all the tools as a set. I used Blauparts and all the special tools I needed were there.

As far as I know, there is no need of special tool to find an oil leak. I suggest you to open the beauty covers, remove the air filter and anything possible to give you room, give your engine a good clean and try to figure out where is this oil comming from. Start with the valve covers. Also, remove the noise insulation (plastic cover under the engine) and clean it all. Use the car for a while and keep an eye on any oil leak trace.
Your leak can be as simple as a valve cover gasket. If you are sure your timing belt was done, it's better to check it very well before wasting time and money replacing parts that are probably already new.
A tip: a very good way to clean the oil/gunk in your engine is to spray (read wash with) WD40 all over. The engine will get clean very easily and fast. Then use a clean cloth and remove the excess.
