Can anybody explain why the steering is "light" when car is very cold...

until the car gets going some. I am sure it has something to do with the viscosity of the steering fluid at that temperature, but I can't figure out why that would make the steering light. If anything I would think it would have the opposite effect.
I have a 2001 2.7t with the servotronic relay pulled.

was wondering what was going on. Thought last week's changing of the control arms had something to do with it.
