Default Can someone educate me about the Throttle Body issue?

It seems to me like a lot of you are talking about the Throttle Body Issue on the 2.7t Engine. I have the 2.7t and I just want to know what to look for or what will happen if this failture occurs. Is this an expensive fix?

Default You must be referring to the Throttle Body Boot. It is a rubber boot that

takes the compressed air charge from the turbos and then funnels that into the throttle.... Over time it can develop a split, leaking the charge air, and thereby reducing the "giddyup" of the 2.7T engine. Not too expensive to repair, and the good news it it sits right on top of the engine so it is easy to access.

Default youll know when it fails. i dont get why this car didnt have some

sort of boost pressure gauge from the factory...

either way its sitting on top of the motor below the middle of the Y in the intake pipes. $20 from the dealer, or stronger aftermarket boots from 50-100
