Default can't leave windows cracked, alarm goes off ...

I'm not sure when this started, it may be related to VAG-COM enabling the windows/sunroof operable with remote? Any ideas other ideas why I can't leave the windows and sunroof cracked for ventilation without the motion alarm going off?

Any input most appreciated.

Default Push the small button at the bottom of the "B" pillar (above the trunk release) to disable the...

...motion sensor, then close and lock the door quickly. You'll see the red light next to the door lock plunger light up after you press the button; that's how you know the sensor has been deactivated.

It's kind of a pain, but that's the way it works.

Default ah, I know those buttons, never used them ...

Thanks! I don't get it though, the light is lit if the sensor is off?

Default Light will turn on when you press the button, yes. Indicates that the sensor is off, and...

...then you have to lock the doors before the light goes out again, or the sensor will turn back on.

Like I said, it's a pain. :-/

There is no such button above the trunk release on a 2004 A6.

Default You can use VAG-COM to turn down the sensitivity

100 is the factory setting, 50 is the minimum. That solved the problem for me.

Default

The motion sensor was discontinued in 2002 or 2003, so you're absolutely correct!!

Default I believe it was discontinued with the makeover

so it was discontinued 2002 or when they started shipping 3.0 V6s and dual exposed exhausts
