Good to be back. Well after 3 years of the audi sitting, I have it back on the road. With 195,000 miles on the 2.7t....its running great. However, on a drive to NY city from CT...as many know in this area, there are some serious "bumps" onthe highway - when your cruising....a few times, it was a brutal hit to the front end...gosh I thought the front end was gonna fall off....i don't recall this happening before. Is it my springs? tx

Might be springs. Might be shocks losing compression damping. Might be both. My S6 did more or less the same thing over long, large undulations.
My guess is shocks is #1; but recently i also broke a rear spring, so you never know.
