She looked pissed, not scared or shaken up like I was. It wasn't just a panic brake, she had four tires smokin in a full blown lock-up. ABSOLUTELY, POSITIVELY, NO FRIGGIN DOUBT, INTENTIONAL.
Like I said, I was lucky to find a way out.
Realize you might have been being facetious...but wasn't sure.....

compare measurements from side-to-side and across static points, etc. If something's off, then hammer, pull and twist.

right behind him though, could have bounced up and could be eating that. A spare tire came from the bottom of a Jeep Cherokee and went right through my Aunt's windshield on the passenger side. If it was the driver's side, she would have been killed instantly.

I thought the poster's comments about padding the estimate and then keeping the extra for an RS6 bumper, for ex., if the tow company pays up is not quite honest.
The honest thing to do if they say that is to come back with the REAL dollar figure, either up front, or by giving them back the excess. It wouldn't be hard after you get the payment, to be sure that you get it, to then have the excess returned to them.
They agreed to cover your damages, not buy you new accessories.
The guy was honest with you. Why be dishonest with his employer, I'm sure they're not happy with him?

the brake lights so they don't have to lock them up to cause an accident. I nearly rear-ended someone once when it was pre-dawn, not totally dark but difficult to see and this person was braking hard to turn left w/o ANY rear lights. No ABS back in like '85 and I locked mine up and narrowly avoided a wreck. I've never been so upset - POS rusted out wreck of a car out in the sticks.
