Default Car sometimes jerks on low rpms.

It happens very rearly, but it still happens. For example: I am driving like 35 m/h. Try to accelerate a little bit. Rpms are 1500. Sometimes it is ok. Sometimes the car may jerk couple times. Can it be that the engine is not working right on low rpms? It looks like missfire or something. What can it be?

Default First thing I'd do is run a bottle of Techron or BG44k gas additive.

It's possible it's injectors. 50/50 shot at best, but it only costs a couple of bucks to find out.

Can it be spark plug wires? Something else?

Default I'd start here...

Try the additive. If that doesn't work try a different brand of gas. It could be the brand of gas or the station. I had this issue at one point and it was the gas.

Default How many miles on the car? It could be wires or plugs. If I recall, there

was a software update for some early 2.8s. There is a driveline clunk that is pretty common, but that is most evident when the car is rolling to a stop. I have been told it's the torque converter unlocking.

Wouldn't hurt to refresh the plugs and wires in that case. As Potomac says, some BG44K wouldn't hurt

Default I had the same problem and it turned out to be...

a combination of worn plugs and oddly enough engine oil that missed the fill hole and wound up in the spark plug hole of cylinder #4(front of engine, driver's side). I bought the car on the cheap because the car would struggle and misfire anytime I would accelerate at a stoplight or in motion. As soon as the rpms were high it would go away, but anytime the engine was at or near 1500 rpms it would struggle. I initially ran the vag com and it indicated multiple misfires. I thought that it could either be the spark plugs, the wires, the ignition coils/modules, the fuel filter, or the injectors. I started with the cheapest parts (spark plugs) and it did the trick. I checked the resistance of the wires and they were per spec. I changed the fuel filter for good measures. Hope this helps and good luck.

Forgot to ask, is your check engine light on?

No. Nothing. No check engine. Nothing.
