Default Car vibration, possible explanation?....

left my car at dealer service suffering from vibration, worse between 40-60 mph. The dealer rotated and balanced my tires last week to try to fix the problem but I still feel it. Also replaced teo warped rotors.

I was told by a mechanic that the vibration may be coming from the Conti tires as the belt in the inside of the tires may dislodge or something like that. (????) Never heard of this. Can it be possible? My tires only have 12,000 miles.

Default If so, I would think the Conti warranty would cover it. I always get a nice little booklet with my

Dunlops.

Default Dealing with the same thing....

I am having a new set of 18"s mounted this evening. I will let the forum know the out come. If a belt is the problem the vibration would be very pronounced.

Default Find an installer with a Hunter 9700 force balancing

machine. Go to the link and find a shop. That will definitively rule out tire/rim problems and either solve the problem or place it squarely back on your dealership to find another cause.

GSP 9700

Default Could be warped rotors. Everytime I get mine replaced . . .

. . . the vibration goes away.
