I have a 2002 A6 Quattro 3.0 and 2 days ago I noticed my radio wasn't working and the entire radio/CD deck was unresponsive. I turned the car off expecting the red backlights to go out and everything to turn off. Unfortunately for me, they did not. The display is blank red, and none of the buttons work....any suggestions on the problem/fix??? Can I diy or am I going to need to take it in? Any help would be great, thanks!

This happened to me on a couple of occassions. Your radio/cd fuse has blown. All you have to do is change the appropriate fuse, there is a template denoting which fuse it will be on the back of the fuse box cover. my audi A6 fuse box is on the right side of the dash board, to access it you have to open the door.
Good luck

Happened to me a few weeks ago. Remove the radio. check the fuse on the back of the radio, mine was OK. Unplug the power connector from the radio for a few minutes. replug and try. Works fine now.
