A Flashing CEL is actually and indication from the ECU that the motor has a severe misfire. This is basically to tell you that you need to get the misfire fixed or the unburned fuel may make its way down to the cats where it can potentially destroy them etc. It can actually melt the cat cores.

I drove mine like this for a few days while I waited for new plugs and coil packs (figured do them all at once and get it over with). On mine I had to slowly accelerate (slow throttle input) otherwise it would sputter.

My money is on either a coilpack or plug, but I agree with the other replies that the Pulsar plus might be the issue. They may not be compatible with the car... You need to get the car scanend to see at least which one it is.

Get some Denso iridium if you want to get away form OEM... had no issues and on my second set...
