Default CEL/Limp mode today...
driving to school i got limp mode, restarted, went away...about 30 seconds later i got limp mode and a cel...will vag tonight to see whats up...

the first thing i saw when that cel came on was a little rodent running across my dashboard...

Default i didnt see the limp thing coming but it dissappeared today...(explanation below)
...i posted a couple months ago saying that my tranny was making a narsty sound around 3-4k rpms...that sound is gone and it went away when the cel came on...possibly something in the tranny slipping back into place?...at any rate my tranny sounds better and the cel is gone

Perhaps you should temporarily remove your tip recode procedure pending your investigation?
