I agree, likely something related to the trans fileter/fluid change. Did you use the correct fluid? Did the filter engage fully when you put it in? The trans fluid level is a bit fussy on these cars, so be sure you follow the correct procedure.

When I changed the AT filter and oil, the transmission was low. 4L came out and I put 7L in. I guess the low fluid level finally did the TC in.

I have been reading up some of the other posts/forums and what I have is called torque converter shudder. Explains my symptoms perfectly. I guess my next adventure will be to replace the TC. Hopefully that solves the my clunking transmission.
