Chips, altitude, and 91 octane fuel...

garrett can make a special 2.7t program for altitude and 91 octane.(more)
This is what I have and I live in CO outside boulder. So far I have had no audible pinging but the weather is cold and the the car is well insulated from engine noise. I am very happy with the chip and the power increase is great. Basicly I can drive all the way to the Keystone is 6th gear if I wanted. (read lots of tourque)

Knock sensors help BUT (more)
If you pull out too much timing then the engine will run hot (higher combustion temperatures) IMHO it would be better to run at a lower boost level with most of the timing in than a higher boost level with the riming pulled back excessivly. comments?

No problems w/ Texaco Premium here in CO
with my 1.8T Garrett 1.5 chip. I know that Garrett also has the high altitude version of his chips, but have not found that to be an issue. Ken Kanazu (Uzanak, usually on the S4 forum) of McDonald Audi, has a APR chip in his S4. You may post the question to him.
