I have a 2001 A6 2.8 Front Trak.

I like the chrome lower grill that all the 3.0s have.

I'd like to change my front grill to the sport style grill (S6) and add the chrome lower grill to my bumper.

Will these parts fit? (part numbers?)

I asked at my Audi dealership, but they weren't very helpful. They said I would have to order the part first (and pay for it) before they would let me test-fit it..

Ideas anyone?

The 2.8 has an upper grille that's different in both size and shape from that of the S6, requiring a completely different hood (ala A6 4.2). Unless you want to perform some serious mods at serious $$$, I'm afraid you're out of luck. Sorry.

Thanks, this mmay be a solution for now. I like the idea that I can get it done without waiting for parts to come from the dealership. I don't have time to scour junkyards either.. so I'll try it and let you know.
