clattering/knocking sound from engine front
yesterday i noticed a sporadic clatterring/knocking sound from the front end of the engine much like a marble or small child's toy would make if caught inside a fan! the sound doesn't seem to increase proportionately to engine speed. originally thought it was something caught in one of the fans...found nothing. i'm thinking water pump. feedback most welcome. thanks

If you have one, check the plastic cover over the intake runners.
Top center piece under the hood; it's just a "beauty piece" and a couple of the screws that hold it in place had come loose on mine...sounded like bad tappets.
