Default Clicking noise (like hazard/blinker relays) coming from center/top of dash

Sometimes while driving I'm hear a series of clicking noise exactly like the turn-indicator relays however turn signal is not on, and no lights are flashing.

I know it's not the Blinker Fluid level - checked that before posting, and it's full.

STFA and saw some posts about hazard relay failure - but my hazard lights work fine ... any other thoughts ?

Default It's your hazard/blinker relay module. Just replaced my S6 and allroad's...

The relays in the module that make the clicking sound for the turn signals will fail after a few years. $35 part.

There's also a switch in the turn signal stalk that can cause this problem. On my allroad, I had the clicking sound happen randomly when no turn signals were being used AND when I used the right turn signal. Turned out that the blinker module AND the right turn signal switch in the turn signal stalk needed to be replaced.

Yes. One of the relays in the module is there just to make the clicking sound.

Default Brian G has it right. The relay is easy, and signals will not work if it fails. The steering

column switch is much more costly and complex. My allroad exhibited this problem recently, and it was not the relay. Then, the symptoms ceased a week later. I'm waiting on the repair until they return and can be verified.
Meanwhile, I have a new in box latest version dash relay for $28 including free shipping and instructions from AW if you want to try one!
