don't see how you are getting 5.0 second 0-60s from a dead stop with a 4000 lb Audi even if you have chips and exhaust upgrades. Furthermore, it would take a lot more than that to pull 5 lengths on a car. 5 lengths purely based on a car's capabilities requires a significant difference in power, weight or gearing. I have done straight line tests with my chipped 4.2 against my E430 several times and the Audi does not pull on the 430, I believe, primarily because of it's fat *** and unfavorable gearing. I think you pulled on the guy b/c you dropped into a lower gear and had the benefit of action rather than reaction. Perhaps it was a cabriolet. Those are butt slow b/c of the extra weight. I'm sure your story is completely true, I just don't think it shows anything about the cars, just the drivers.... by the way I like my 4.2 much more than my E430.

I dropped to 1st, I dont think he did, or couldn't at that speed. A couple more mph for me and I would've been stuck in 2nd myself.
And yes, I had the benefit of action, adn he had the disadvantage of reaction.
I looked at the E430s too, liked the A6 much better as well.

The guy was tailgating, and when kg pulled ahead, his reason for tailgating was gone. Personally, were I him, I would NOT have floored it while tailgating, but would have let many car lengths occur first.
Geez... I'll just never get into this "kill story" mentality. KG's original post didn't strike me as a claim of superiority, so I was surprised by the reactions.
