Clutch dead? Seems to be slipping when power goes on...
This just started happening today, so I'm not sure what happened.
Symptoms:
In gears 4 through 6, if I'm at about 2200rpms and fully depress the gas pedal and do not let off, the rpms rise slowly, then rapidly to about 3000, then settle down at about 2800, then continue going up. Gears 1-3 don't appear to have the same problem, but I may just not be able to feel it.
I had a gut feeling then I pulled the car out of the driveway today that the clutch seemed less grippy than normal.
What does it sound like to you?

Clutch is worn out.... best to get it done right away
as the slipping is due to the clutch being out of friction material, and down to the metal rivets holding the friction material on. These rivets will score the flywheel. Do the job now if you want to keep the flywheel.
