Coding the Audi A6 Engine Control Module - how much should I be charged?
I was told by my dealer that I would be charged an hour of labor to make a code change to the engine control module (as outlined in the FAQ section of this wesite - see link). I think it would be cool to automatically lock/unlock the doors, etc. but I don't really feel like this should cost me $95 to do. Am I being cheap (very possible) or should the dealer cover this under warranty?

You should talk with your service department. I just had this done on my car and they did it for free. When they took the car in they said that there would be a charge but when I got it back they said it took they so little time that they would not charge me.
