Hey guys, I been trying to locate the color of my car, but unsuccessful. I looked at the spare wheel area, and the sticker is half ripped off so no color code there. The manual is like brand new, so nothing is written in the maintenance booklet either... So here I am, I have no clue what color is my Audi.

My car is a 2000 Audi A6 Quattro v8 4.2L. From the sticker in the spare wheel, it indicated as manufactured in 10/99. Any idea guys? I bought the touch up paint from Audi Dealer before, and they gave me "Light Silver Metallic" And it has a few letters on it which I think is the color code: LS7M, but then I don't see that color code in any of the online website. I also searched on this forum, and some say LY7W , some say LY7M, ... just not sure. any help?

...one is to have others with 2000 A6 4.2 chime in on their color codes from the trunk sticker, and the other is to go to the dealer with your VIN and see if they can pull it up from the system. I'm fairly sure the info from the sticker (the color and option codes) can be retrieved with the VIN.

I'd give you mine, but my 4.2 is 2002, and every time I park it next to another silver Audi, it has a slight brownish hue while the others have a slight blueish hue to the silver.

I kinda guessed that different year will have a slight difference in color code... any one can give me their 2000 A6 4.2L color code? Mine is silver.

from the sticker is: LY7W/LY7W. Hope that helps

Can anyone confirm this?

Also, my 4.2 is 2000, but the sticker stated 10/99 (Oct 1999) Will that make a difference?

BTW, did you got touchup paint from the Audi dealer? If you do, can you tell me what color the touchup is stated on it? Thanks
