Has anyone managed to get the concert stereo with standard speakers to sound as if it has any realistic mid-range?

If anyone has any suggestions as to what settings sound better that standard I would be grateful. Also - a reminder of how to get into the equaliser settings please?

Don't mean to give you the brush off, but there are postings on here about it. I suggested that a friend with the standard, non-Bose stereo try it and he was thrilled.

Does the Concert have a built-in equalizer? Concert, not Symphony! [Stoney's links has this info for the Symphony.] I tried the instrutions for accessing the EQ [hold down station #5 while turning on; doesn't work on my Concert. Anyone know?

The "Concert" stereo? Or are you thinking of the "Symphony" head unit?

Shut off radio-press on button simultaneously with #5 preset button. Graphic equalizer shows up. Adjust to your taste with volume control and move to next setting with PSCAN. Shut off to set. I think it made my stereowhich I thought was mediocre to pretty good. Ther is a better description in the tech section of audiworld.
Why doesn't Audi mention this in their literature?

Holding down either Station#1, 2 or 3 while powering on works the same as the Symphony. 4, 5 and 6 doesn't do anything. 5 is the EQ. Is it hiding somewhere else? Or does the Concert even have a built-in EQ?

"Concert" stereo?? What you described matches the "Symphony" but not sure about "Concert."
