Was considering painting my chrome trim black, but....
would this screw me over if I ever wanted to trade the car in? I mean I wouldn't want to have to replace all of it with chrome or anything. would i have to sell it privately or what? any thoughts? thanks

which chrome trim? like trunk, headlights, and windows?
if so, i doubt theyd even know it was different, and if they did notice i dont think theyd give you a hard time for it.

If I ever get my RS front end, I'm going to paint the headlight trim. I think that the dealer...
might question it. They'll certainly know it wasn't stock. Worst case, you can find some used trim and put it back on (may not be that $$$ used)

IMHO, unless you have owned an Audi C5 A6 I don't think you would have ever known...
