Default Control Arm/Bushings Creak and Recall?
My front end (A6/01 2.7T) is beginning to sound like an old wooden pier creaking! My mechanic is pretty sure that there is a recall for the control arms/bushing that are causing this.. I vaguely think I may have had this done a few years ago, but I can find my work order on it..

Does this ring a bell with anyone?

There is sort of a recal, but only on the lower front control arm...

Default It's not really a recall though, they don't automatically replace the arms in all cases...
this is a 'service action'... if your control arms are fine, in their opinion, they will NOT replace them.
