Coolant leak--a strange one........
Noticed a slow coolant leak (a few drops in the garage, dampness on the shield, bottle level dropped a little). Figured it was the pump starting to go or a little hose seepage....
Turns out it was some kind of engine block plug that screws in with an O ring. Had to be replaced. Anybody else had this????????
BTW--pushed to have brakes replaced before 50K, though no problems. Dealer not only is replacing pads--they ordered new rotors just to be safe (even though no pulsing).

I don't know about your engine but mine has a drain plug in the bottom of the block for antifreeze.
The drain plug on my car is just forward of the back end of the engine shield.
Never heard of one leaking.
