I just spoke to Audi about my coolant yesterday. They said you need to use a special Audi coolant. They said do not use anything else or you could have a problem. When in a pitch just add water they advised.

Sean - long shot but worth a try - we've had chilly mornings here in Boston this past week, -->
is it possible that now that you are using the heater that some of the coolant went to the heater core? I'm wondering if that may have been low and now that you are using the heater the entire system needs to be topped off.
I know this scenario would have been possible on "old technolgy" Audis, not sure if it would be possible with all the automated systems that our cars use these days???
