2001 A6 2.7T Quattro. I have a failed cruise control. Won't turn on at all. I cleaned the switch and tested it with a meter, all is well. Brake switch is working. I looked in the Bentleys manual and it says that drive by wire does not use a cruise control module, and there is not one in the wiring diagram, but they have a picture of the two modules mounted behind the glove box, and one is labeled "cruise control module". So....do I have one or not. Part # is nothing like the one described in the various forum posts, and the one that I have has MANY more connector pins than the one described in this forum. There is one listed for this car on one website, but for $315 I don't want to buy it and find out it's not what I need. Is there a place I can enter the part # and find out what the module actually is?
