Default CV Joint Boot Replacement

Found both outer front boots split, so I'm in the process of replacing them. Got the driver's side axel out w/o having to remove the pinch bolt by removing the inner shield, but no such luck on the passenger side (still fighting that one).

The inner boots look ok, but should they be replaced at the same time?

Default No need to replace the inner boots, they don't fail often as they are

exposed to much less stress than the outer boots.

Default Take out the 18mm rear lower control arm bolt at the subframe. That'll give you plenty of

clearance. Still need more? Drop the tie rod end but you shouldn't have. Just tighten the bolt back up with the car under load. Like on ramps maybe.
