Default JE pistons and Crower rods perhaps? Those were the companies that

I thought about using for my forged engine components.

Default I've known a few people with JE's and they haven't had any problems..

I did know one idiot that had a set made w/out valve reliefs. He's lucky that he turned it over by hand before starting the engine up. What a dumbass :P

Default Well unfortunately we used to have a certain company make custom pistons....

Spec'd at 8.5:1 and sent out by this said company. When we cc'd the engine, turns out the piston is 9.8:1. So much for quality control.

Of course YMMV.

Default Yeah.. outsourcing custom parts can be a dangerous business.

I prefer to get stuff done locally if possible. If I have to have something outsourced, I generally only have 1 of the parts made first. That way, I don't waste a ton of money on a full set if the part is incorrect.

Definitely needs wider tires. Paint is different and I like it.
