Dead Battery-- Dead Radio
I've been having trouble with the wonderful Bose Symphony Radio in my 2000 A6 Avant in that the CD's were skipping and then continuously showed the ERR01 code. However the radio and cassette deck worked. Left the car for few days and the radio was fine for a short period of time and then ERR01. Made appointment with Audi for service and the writer said he was familiar with this problem.
Left the car for 6 days and came to the garage and nothing. No lights, no clicking of the starter, no nothing. Jumped the car, got it started now no radio, no power to radio, doesn't even try to show safe mode.
Have not had any trouble with the battery till now.
Any thoughts

Get it checked
You should have the battery checked if it was completely dead. It may need to be properly charged with a trickle charger. Automobile voltage regulators aren't usually capable of fully and properly recharging a totally dead battery. Probably needs the ECU reset too.
