Dealer has a '02 S6 Avant Silver/Black,VERY Cleanand spotless...30K miles....asking 40K
as a starting point, obviously can work down from there....thoughts and feelings? Realistic price?
I like how rare the car is, Avant, S divison, etc etc...to be honest the hard part is the the interior...its now a few Gen's old to me...and the V8 is a big gas eater....thoughts?

The C5 interior will always be a classic. The C6 is a big step down...
... in aesthetics. In order to accomodate the big screen, they had to give up on the gorgeous wood/CF band that ran around the passengers.
S6 is a nice, nice car, and very rare. But I don't know that the rarity justifies much of a price premium. In terms of it's uniqueness, it's more like a BMW 540 than an M5.
