I have a mechanic who's doing some simple stuff to my car and as it's new to me, and i had no idea how old the oil was, we changed it.
I've been reading to use M1 0-40, but for whatever reason, he put in M1 10-30. I've got no idea what this will do, if anything bad to the engine.
Will running this for 3k really matter or should it be changed?
Thanks!
Marty

the M1 10W-30 oil doesn't meet this VW standard, but it will do no harm to your engine, especially for 3K miles (you really don't need to change oil every 3K miles - wastes oil and some of your $s).
