Did you receive a notice about the "smart key" class action suit ? Objection inside -->
Please pass this along to your friends and other Audi/VW internet channels. The more people that object, the more chance there will be that the Judge will throw out this frivolous action.
This document must be edited to include personal information. A copy of owner's title or registration(s) must be included at the end of the document.
The document must be sent to the Court:
Hon. Audrey B. Collins (Docket No. CV06-2562 ABC (JTLx))
United States District Court
Edgar R. Roybal Federal Building and Courthouse
255 East Temple Street (Room 680)
Los Angeles, CA 90012
It should be sent by first class post on 1 September. Please send on exactly this date by post and making sure it is postmarked on that date! If you want to receive a proof of filing then include an extra copy, self addressed stamped envelope and a short note asking the clerk to return a date-stamped copy. A sweetened settlement that could actually be worth something to you maybe?
Or possibly just the pleasure of stopping someone from taking advantage of you to make a profit?

It will undermine the whole security system these keys have introduced.....
and in turn, you, the consumer will end up the looser due to higher risk of vehicle theft and resulting increased insurance premiums - great action by whoever decided to instigate it. Just occasionally I am glad we do not have similar action process here in England!

The system was implemented July 2004 and works fine...
This is really about people trying to profit from it by trading on our rights.
Personally, I think it a great shame that England does not have something similar to class action. :-)
