Default Difference between old and new oil caps; Oil Leak prevent

Could someone help me tell the difference between old oil caps and new oil cap? I have this oil cap not sure which one is this. If someone can upload the pictures of new oil cap that has release valve built in it, i will really appreciate it.
Purpose of this thread is to determine if new oil caps can prevent oil leaks by using their release valve technology.
Thanks

Based on your pics (and mine below), I'd say you have the old-school oil cap. I bought the new "pressure release" cap as an impulse buy when ordering some other parts, and held on to the old one just in case. I took some pictures of them both side-by-side and labeled them for you, so you can see the difference.

I can't really say whether or not this has had any effect on oil leaks for me, since I don't seem to leak any noticeable amount (nor did I before).

Yup.. the old Cap has a white or Black OIL symbol and the new one has a Orange OIL symbol. The new one is a vented one and I just bought one from AutohauzAZ for about $30

I'm sure there are many places you can find it, some probably cheaper, but I ordered it from ECS: http://www.ecstuning.com/Audi-C5_A6-...2.7T/ES258817/

I called two Audi dealerships and they said their oil filler cap does not have any release valve. So i just ordered from ECS.
Thanks Guys,

I usually order from AutohausAZ as their prices and service is great they have most of the stuff you need and they do free shipping for anything over $50 so I ordered the Oil Cap part number 078103485F for I think $28 and then added a air filter and Cabin filter which exceeded my total to over $50 and got free shipping.
