Default Most states have the seatbelt police now.

But I guess bad habits will lead to an award.

Default Re: lighten up mang.. we're all smarta$$es here. =))

I have looked in the archives. I know the law and in general that is not the issue. I am not a kid and the police are not the issue. It is against the law where I live not to 'buckle up'. I just happen to not like the idea of NO choice. There are times when I don't want to buckle up, i.e.; when I move my car in the driveway or out of the garage for a bath. It's not likely that some mosquitoe will do any damage flying head on into my wind shield whilst I move at 2 MPH after all. Anyhow.........I thought I would ask. So far that is the biggest mistake I have made.

Default You didn't look hard enough.

I'll not contribute directly to disabling a safety device (although I'd want to do the same if I were you), but...

if you search for "seat belt vag" and limit it to the past month, I think you'll find what you're looking for. Dunno if it'll work on a C5, but...

If it's for that short a distance, then I'd just put up with the alarm.

Default Most of you have such stupid and ignorant replies!

How many of you have even experienced the seatbelt alarm in a 2004?!

The alarm is poorly designed and is extremely annoying as it will beep even when the car is in park while you have the engine on.

When you have parked the car and try to fish something from your pockets, beep beep beep.

When you lean over and do the goodbye kiss, beep beep beep.

When the driver steps out leaving the passenger with a sleeping baby, beep beep beep.

I have no problem with seltbelt warning but it should not be constantly active, and certainly not when the car is parked and you even have the handbrake on!
