Do the 2.8, 2.7t, and 4.2 use different type of leather for the interior??

It may depend on options, I have premium leather in my 2.7 where it is standard in 4.2 I believe

Yes, the 4.2 has leather. You are able to order leather instead or "leather like" in the 3.0 and 2.7

Leather was standard on my '03 2.7T. "Premium Leather" optional.

im not sure which came in my 2.8...but it hasnt held up well anyone having this problem...mine has 25K miles and it looks like 75k

Default Bzzzzt. ALL A6's have leather (US anyway).
Premium leather was an option.

What AUDI calls "Premium Leather" is leather. The other stuff is "leather like", not the same.

I was in a 4.2 the other day and it was smoother than my 2.8.

Default Incorrect. "Standard" leather is on seats only. "Premium" adds door panels.
But it's all "leather".

I test drove a 2.7T with black leather and that was in now way comparable to the leather in my car.
