Do any of you guys tint your back windows??

Re: Do any of you guys tint your back windows??
Yes tinted the back window. But you may want to use a different type of tint on the rear window. In my case I have metalizied tint, and it messes up the AM signal. I am attributing this to the tint on the rear window. Someone might have a very technical answer for this. You can get non-metalized tint for the rear but it may fade or purple over time, but you may also get better AM reception. Same thing with radar detectors, if you have a rear looking unit the metalizied tint will drastically shorten the range of the unit, whereas nonmetal will not shorten it as much.

Man are not legal. I will need to check the receipt for darkness. I know that the back sides and rear are limo dark 5%??? and the front sides are 20%. I will need to check. I do not have the smoked tail lights. There are some pics of cars with them that have been posted. I was saving my money for a exhaust system someday. Still looking around.
I have used the same % tint for 4 years on 2 different cars and have had no problems with police. (Knock on Wood)

Yes, I forget the % but I did the two front windows one shade down because of the laws here. It still looks like factory tint because of the contrast. Close to mings, maybe he did the same. I have had no problems except for the AM reception.
I think all cars should come tinted with at least the entire rear done from the factory. Why not? Every minivan and suv comes blacked out. Why is it ok for them but considered flashy(many words to choose from here) on our cars? How does everyone feel about that. I like the privacy, sun protection for the leather, speakers, me etc. Keeps the sun out of the kids eyes and keeps the black beast much cooler in the summer. Too many benefits, get it done. Plus it looks great.

I have a Ming/Melange 4.2. I tinted the side and rear windows. I went as dark as my state allows on all windows. The tint is non-metallic, so no cellphone, etc. reception issues.
A plus for any of you that have to watch exposure to sunlight (no, not the vampires among us) is that many tints block 99% or more of UV/A, UV/B.

Yep, did one step more than the law allows in this state... but what the heck... did it on the 84 Audi too and never got in trouble... Kept A/C easier to cool in summer too... and keeps "prying eyes" out of your car... if you get my drift...
