do the secondary O2 sensors have any effect on how the engine runs/perfomance? (post cat)

thats my understanding too. ive got a post cat O2 that crapped the bed
but there are other things higher on my to-do list (just for this car) than replacing an O2 sensor.
besides, how will i remember im driving an Audi without the Check Engine light staring me in the face every time i get in?
