Default Does any one have Magnaflow muffler sound clip?

Your thoughts:

MAGNAFLOW MUFFLER RACE #14851 for my 2.7T and I wanted to see any recent opinions or sound clips and quality of muffler? I found some for $106 each shipped. I have researched on forum and You Tube but now luck...I did find a sound clip but it did not sound too good...

Thanks--<ul><li><a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GMm9CTiLUY4&amp;mode=related&amp;search="> http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GMm9CTiLUY4&amp;mode=related&amp;search=</a</li></ul>

Default That sound clip is correct for the magnaflows but I guarantee you that's also with...

...downpipes or piggiepipes.

I have the Magnaflow mufflers and I like them.

What type of sound are you looking for?

Also what would you be using for tips?

Default thats my car, and yes, 5speed6 is correct i also have piggies...

they make the whistling you hear through the exhaust a little more prominent and probably change the over all tone a little. however, those are not the "race" series mufflers. they are the regular stainless steel, 6" round body mufflers (2.5" pipes as well).

I just want to increase the current silence of my OEM muffs...i would like a deeper sound not any raddeling sound or "ricey"...I think thats what they call it on the streets. I recently got the REVO upgrade...which is great and would like to hear the power!

Thanks for your input!

Default The magnaflow mufflers will give you a nice sound and feel in the lower RPMs..

..up until ~3500-4000RPM, after that it is quiet, which I find perfect. If you want more "sound" in the upper range, you can change out the center resonators for Magnaflows. But these tend to drone at highway acceleration, and if you have passengers often, they will find it annoying.

Also, if you are interested, I have an extra set of (new) double wall magnaflow tips I am looking to sell.
