Default is it the rear doors?

if it is, try opening the "trash" things on the arm rests on the doors in the back seat (where the window switch is)..

2nd what tt600 said. Open the rear door ashtrays to see if the rattle goes away.

Default no i tried that took everything out...only thing that makes the rattling stop is if i lay my hand on

the plastic surrounding the memory seats buttons...so sad...i thought this didn't happen in german cars?...must be just an audi problem.

Default I had both rear ashtrays replaced under warranty :-)

went in with music related rattle problem - left a CD (Run Lola Run) with track numbers and position of song as to reliably repeat the rattle. The tech was cool.

Default It's the pass. seat adjust button on mine

I had an annoying rattle on certain bumps and discovered that it stopped when I stuffed my coat between the passenger side seat and the door. Further invetigation showed the main seat adjustment button was a bit loose and rattled. I popped it off and put a couple layers of electrical tape on the underside on either end and that pretty much stopped it.
