Door window frame adjustment - can it be done w/o removing glass?

The door window frame on the driver's door is slightly lower at the rear corner than it seems it should be - the lower door shell itself is about right.
It's my understanding that the frame on the C5 can be adjusted independently of the lower door. The local body shop guy (a very good shop) says that it's really supposed to be done while the guts are out of the door, with the glass out.
Is it possible to adjust it without that much disassembly?
Thanks.

Take off the door panel (two screws at left and reight upper sides), remove switch assembly, push up on door panel.
The window, plus frame is an assembly independent of the door shell.
