There's a special tool that's used to pop the connector out but you might be able to winkle it out with a couple of straightened out paper clips. There are little wings on the connector that you use the paper clips to depress and then the connector slides out the back.

PS..if you can get a wire nut on it you should be able to twist them together and solder them and tape them.

Just what i was thinking .. or put a bridge piece of robotic wire ( soft and flexible ) in and heatshrink over the whole thing .

Done for the next 10 years or so ..

I had to do this on my Audi 90 as everytime i put it in reverse the alarm would go off .. harness to the trunk ..
