I just recently took delivery of my 2010 A6 Avant Prestige.The car is terrific except I am very disappointed in the operation of the drivers seat operation.
When you are getting out of the car the steering wheel moves up but the seat remains in place, you can move the seat back manually to make getting out of the car easier. So far so good But when you unlock the car the seat moves back to its programmed position so now the entry into the car can be a bit tight.It seems the competition have this worked out a bit better. The seat moves back to its end of travel when you turn the car off but when you start the car the seat and steering wheel move to there preset position.
Since the whole car is computer controlled I was just wondering if any body out there has played with re programming the seat operation.
Any advice would be highly appreciated.

No advice, jsut wondering what cars you have experience with where the seat moves when you remove the key. I've had several Audi, Lincoln, and Acuras with memory and none of them had the seats move for ingress/egress. I'm guessing it's BMW, Jag, and MB then, but I've never owned one with memory so I don't know!

I do have a solution though! You could set the third/extra memory setting up just for ingress/egress and then push it when you want to get out or in!
