Default DRT rotors - anyone using them?

anyone have any experience with them? apparently they use Centric blanks, they have the black powdercoated hats/outside edges and have various drilled & slotting options. prices are very reasonable - $255 for all four rotors in the premium grade...being they are Centric rotors - any experience with them? does the powdercoating hold up or any other issues with them? i figure it'd probably be the same cost to replace my troublesome slotted rotors than to pay my mechanic to try and figure out what the problem with them is.

I have a set on my A6, fronts were Zimmermans and the rears some Italian brand. Sorry forgot the name. Great quality rust coating. Thesehave been on the car for about a year and a half and still looks great.

Hope that helps.

do you mean you had the zimmermans and italian rears (pillenga or something like that?) and now you have the DRT's? are they drilled?

Hey Von

Nope, I got the rotors from DRT and the fronts were Zimmermans and the rears the Pillengas. Yes I got mine drilled and slotted. These have been on the car for two NE winters and you can see how well the rust coating is holding up.

Actually the pictures do not do it justice as the fronts look rusty, but they are not, just in need of a clean. The rears show the silver coating well which is what the fronts look like clean. ;-)

ahh, ok, so they just used zimmerman/pillenga blanks. thanks for the pics, looks like they're holding up better than my stoptechs - rustwise, and the price is really pretty good for what you're getting
