Default ECU Re-flash

I brought my 01 2.7t to the dealer today for ticking and hesitation on cold engine.
First they said that the ticking was normal and they couldn't do anything, although it never used to do it. Also for hesitation they stated that they reflashed the ecu with a newer software. What does this do to my apr tuned ecu? Do i need to get it reflashed again?

Default The 01s had a cold start issue that was fixed with a software upgrade...

On my car, the new software made a big difference. I had O.CT clone the new Audi software and then develop specific "chipped" software with the new Audi code.

If your ECU was re-flashed, you likely lost the APR code. You'll probably need to have the APR software re-flashed. Before you do, check to see if APR has code updated to the new Audi specs

Good luck

Default just push your cruise control button...if the APR change sequence comes on..

then you are fine, if not then back to APR.

However if the dealer's flash worked then you may see that your ECU number has chaged due to the flash.(BTDT) Now APR's re-flash needs to match this number.

Default Question is,

If the reflash helps the cold start, do i apr reflash to a software revision that still has the cold start issue? Maybe it is time for apr to update they're flash. Anyone have the technical bulitin talking about the software update fixing the cold start?
