I posted this on the 30v v6 page, but wanted a broader audience, so here it is:
I have a 2002 C5, and just recently while idling, I can feel the engine shake. Things seem to be okay while driving. The car has 64k miles. Anyone have some initial thoughts as to what the problem is? Sorry if this is a basic question, but I'm new to Audis and don't claim to be a great mechanic. I assume its something with the plugs or timing belt.
Any info would be appreciated.

https://forums.audiworld.com/30vv6/msgs/4199.phtml</a

I'm going to try cleaning the throttle body, I've read a couple threads that point to that as being a possible problem.

https://www.audiworld.com/tech/eng109.shtml</a

The idle experiences periodic "heavy shakes", so its not a full time problem. I guess I could try to clean the throttle body and see if that helps.

They may have failed and causing excessing vibrations as well.
Mounts leak a dark purple fluid when they've gone bad. Easy to inspect on your next oil change.

Would I really notice that much of difference with a TIP?
Asking because when I had the timing belt service last month my indy said that one of my motor mounts had started to leak slightly and would be something to keep an eye on.
And I assume you would want to replace all of them at once right?
